I am a geographer focused on gender, livelihoods, agriculture and pastoralism. My fieldwork includes Romania, California, Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya - including pastoralist areas in Marsabit County. At the German Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture, I engage in action research methodologies as part of a transdisciplinary approach to cultivate increased collaboration between diverse stakeholders whose activities make up food chains; from growing food to eating food. I focus on issues of inclusion and exclusion and how to cooperate to create more diverse and equitable economies.
